Severe Weather Days
Occasionally school must be delayed or cancelled due to inclement weather. If Mankato ISD 77delays or closes, LCS also delays or closes. There are various ways you can find out if school is delayed or closed.
Webpage: Details regarding school delays or closings will scroll across the top of LCS Homepage News as soon as they occur. Cancellations for extra-curricular activities, team practices and other school events will also appear on the scrolling marquee.
Media: Delays and closings are broadcast over Mankato area radio and TV stations including: KTOE 1420AM, KEEZ 99FM, KDOG 97FM, and KEYC-TV-12.
Hotline: Mankato ISD 77 has a 24-Hour Hotline for alerts: 507-386-4777.
Text Messages: Parents and guardians can register to receive an immediate text message from Mankato ISD 77 when school has been postponed or cancelled. CLICK HERE to subscribe. These text alerts are not for after school activities and practices. However, if school closes, rest assured that activities and practices will also be cancelled.
