Congratulations to the boys' and girls' track and field teams on their superub performances at yesterday's sub-section meet. Our boys placed second in the sub-section while our girls took first place.

Bruce Tanhoff, Brian Barnett, Michael Azarbod, and Jack Michaletz broke the school record in the 4x200 meter relay and Stephanie Price set a new school record in the triple jump.

Congratulations to our track and field teams on their success at last night's Waseca Invitational.

Congratulations to Dani Stack, Stephanie Price, Gerae Stack and Danielle Vetter on setting a new school record in the 4x400 meter relay and to Dani for setting a new school record in the 800 meter run.

Mass time has been changed for May 21st. Mass will start at 1:15 p.m.

Congratulations to our boys' and girls' track teams on their third place finishes at last night's Gopher Conference Championship Meet.

Also, congratulations to Gerae Stack, Amy Fox, Stephanie Price and Amanda Reiner on setting a new school record in the 4x200 meter relay.

Family Scrip Survey
Return completed survey form to any Scrip sales location or school office or Business Office by May 30th.

There are two corrections to the high school newsletter: The final high school mass will be Wednesday, May 21st at 1:30 p.m. in the Good Counsel Campus Chapel. Student Awards and Recognition will follow.

The seniors' last day of school will be Tuesday, May 27th.

Congratulations to Laura Marti on winning the "Water is Life" scholarship art contest sponsored by the Freshwater Society. Laura was one of two scholarship winners in the entire state of Minnesota.

Congratulations to our boys' and girls' track teams on their fine performances at yesterday's Section True Team meet.

Also, congratulations to Dani Stack on winning the 1600 and 800 and to Justin Doyle on winning the triple jump. A special congratulations to Stephanie Price on setting a new school record in the triple jump.

Ashley Blaine, daughter of Mike and Julie Blaine has been recognized by the Mankato Downtown Kiwanis Club as the Loyola Catholic School's Arian Award Winner for Band. Anne Marzinske, daughter of Pat and Jerry Marzinske was awarded Loyola Catholic School's equivalanant Vocal Award from Kiwanis. The awards recognize excellence in the area of music performance, leadership, and dedication to the arts. Ashley is a senior flute student in band and had been chosen by her peers to be Loyola's band president for the 2007-2008 school year. Congratulations, Ashley and Anne!!

Loyola Catholic School has selected Bette Blaisdell to begin serving as President/High School Principal effective July 1, 2008.  She currently serves as President/ Principal at Bethlehem Academy in Faribault, MN.  The Loyola position opened as a result of the election former LCS Superintendent Sister Katherine DuVal to international leadership for the School Sisters of Notre Dame. 

Blaisdell holds educational degrees from Minnesota State University including a B.S. Degree in Elementary Education, a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction, and a Specialist Degree in Educational Administration.  She expects to complete her Doctorate in Educational Leadership through St. Mary’s University of Minnesota in the fall of 2008.
