Occasionally school must be cancelled due to inclement weather. If Mankato Public School District closes, LCS closes. Information regarding school closing due to severe weather conditions or emergencies is broadcast over Mankato area radio and TV stations including: KTOE 1420AM, KEEZ 99FM, KDOG 97FM, and KEYC-TV-12. Any rumors of a school closing should be verified by listening to one of these stations.
